The event took place in Saint Petersburg at the legendary Astoria Hotel. It was organized by INFOCONNECT PRO and held with the support of leading catalyst manufacturers and distributors: KNT Group, United Catalyst Technologies, AVK, and RN-Dragmet (Rosneft catalyst company).
A total of over 130 representatives from the oil and gas chemical industry from 8 countries participated in the international forum "Catalysts and Adsorbents PRO." The focus was on questions regarding import substitution of catalysts and adsorbents for the oil and gas chemical industries.
As emphasized by experts from the refining, petrochemical, and chemical companies such as Baltic Chemical Complex, Lukoil, Eurochem, Gazprom Neft, Titan, Sibur, Kirishinefteorgsintez, Togliattiazot, Kuibyshevazot, Gazprom Methanol, Polymir, Taif-NK, Uzkimyosanoat, Uralchim, Synthesis OKA, and others, the main needs of refineries, petrochemical plants, and chemical plants in catalysts and absorbents were met thanks to domestic manufacturers and supplies from China and Iran. There are already data on the successful cases of their loading and operation at plants, as reported by representatives from Titan and Sibur companies in their presentations. However, there is still significant work to be done in finding and developing new products capable of replacing Western analogs in several processes.
Forum participants highlighted the practical significance of this event, which provided a convenient platform for exchanging information and ideas, acquiring new contacts to solve professional tasks, and creating a roadmap for the development of the domestic oil and gas chemical industry.
